Job Description: The Regional Sales Manager will plan, organize and implement sales programs, develop sales forecasts and strategies to achieve increased sales volumes, manage vendor Sales Representatives and Distributors; gather and evaluate market intelligence and report on market conditions and competitor activity in the defined territories. Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities, and work effectively in a team environment. 50-60% USA regional travel or oversea travel as directed. May be required for attending seminars, trade shows, territory representative selection/maintenance and customer visits. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activity conducted by the Company in their designated regions. The Regional Sales Manager will sell and market flow computers, other electronic equipment, related technical and training services, and software requiring knowledge of custody transfer flow measurement and control systems of principally hydrocarbon fluids. Makes calls on management, engineering representatives and other professionals of oil & gas pipeline companies and affiliates, such as terminal, refinery, and petrochemical operations, end users, system integrators, engineering contractors, and other customers to convince prospective clients of desirability and practicability of products and services offered. Reviews engineering drawings, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates and quotations. Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations. Provides technical services to clients related to use, operation and maintenance of equipment. May draw up sales or service contract for products or services. May provide technical training to employees of client.
Required Skills:
Engineering Bachelor degree (BS or BA) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; and five years related sales experience; or ten years equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of flow measurement and control systems of principally hydrocarbon fluids essential. Required selling experience with Oil and Gas pipelines, terminal, refinery, and petrochemical operations. Selling experience with solution selling as well as knowledge of PLC/DCS control system architectures is required.
